The first trailer for Paul Weitz’s CIRQUE DU FREAK: THE VAMPIRE’S ASSISTANT has just hit the web, and I have to say as someone suffering from “Twilight” and “True Blood” fatigue, it’s nice to see an altogether lighthearted take on the vampire genre.
Chris Massogolia is Darren, a kid who winds up at a circus freakshow watching performers that appear to be real life mutants. There he meets John C. Reilly’s Larten Crepsley, a vampire looking for a young apprentice to train.
THE VAMPIRE’S ASSISTANT is out in October, so you can get your fix of Halloween vampires without any teenage angst to go along with it. Hit up Moviefone for an HD version.
