WandaVision: Elizabeth Olsen teases the show’s own Luke Skywalker moment

I can't speak for everyone, but the appearance of Luke Skywalker in last year's second season finale of The Mandalorian came as a huge (and very welcome) surprise, and it would seem as though WandaVision might have a similar trick up its sleeve.

In addition to Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany as Vision, WandaVision has featured the return of previous Marvel Cinematic Universe characters such as Dr. Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) and Agent Jimmy Woo (Randall Park), but while speaking with TVLine, Elizabeth Olsen teased that there are a few more returning MCU characters who haven't yet been revealed. The actress was asked whether or not WandaVision might have it's own Luke Skywalker moment, and she merely responded, "Yes," before adding that she's "really excited" for audiences to see what's coming. As for who this surprise character might be, your guess is as good as mine. Given that Elizabeth Olsen will also be reprising her role for Sam Raimi's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it's not out of the realm of possibility that Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) could turn up at some point, but we could also see Quicksilver, Wanda's brother who was killed in Avengers: Age of Ultron and has been mentioned on the series, pop up from beyond the grave. Again, your guess is as good as mine, but with the fabric of reality seemingly pulled thin, anything is possible.

WandaVision creator Jac Schaeffer also spoke with TVLine, but much like Elizabeth Olsen, wouldn't reveal much, only to say that "there are so many surprises left in store" for the remaining five episodes and that she encourages "all fans to settle in, because there's more coming." With the blending of classic sitcoms and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, WandaVision really is unlike anything that Marvel has tackled before as it follows Wanda Maximoff (Olsen) and Vision (Bettany) – two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives – as they begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. The next episode of WandaVision will debut this Friday, and you can check out a review of the most recent episode from our own Alex Maidy right here.
