Jodi Turner-Smith is currently in negotiations to join the cast of Noah Baumbach's next feature film for Netflix. Set as an adaptation of Don DeLillo's White Noise, the project also stars Adam Driver (Marriage Story), Greta Gerwig (Maggie's Plan), Raffey Cassidy (Tomorrowland), Sam Nivola (River of Fundament), and May Nivola (The Pursuit of Love).

Set at a bucolic mid-western college known only as The-College-on-the-Hill, White Noise follows a year in the life of Jack Gladney, a professor who has made his name by pioneering the field of Hitler studies.

White Noise marks Baumbach's first project for Netflix after inking an exclusive deal with the streamer. Baumbach will write and direct the feature. His other Netflix projects include the Oscar-nominated drama Marriage Story in addition to The Meyerowitz Stories.

After bringing down the house as Queen in Malina Matsoukas's romantic crime drama Queen & Slim, Turner-Smith landed a starring role opposite Michael B. Jordan in Stefano Sollima's Without Remorse. In my opinion, she's an absurdly talented actress who commands your attention whenever she's on-screen. Adding her to the cast of White Noise will only make an already promising project that much better.
