Muppets Haunted Mansion Halloween Special premieres on Disney+ this fall

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Everyone's best felt-covered friends, the Muppets, are preparing for something spooky this Halloween season. Today, Gonzo and Pepe the King Prawn announced the Muppets first-ever Halloween special, Muppets Haunted Mansion, debuting this fall exclusively on Disney+. The brand-new special will feature a star-studded Muppets cast, celebrity cameos, all-new music, and spooky fun for families to enjoy together. Today, the announcement was made to help celebrate the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products’ "Halfway to Halloween" event.

Muppets Haunted Mansion takes place on Halloween night when Gonzo is challenged to spend one very daring night in the grimmest grinning place on Earth … The Haunted Mansion.

Oh, Disney, you sure know how to work a Muppet fan's heart into overdrive. I can't help but wonder which ghouls and ghosts Gonzo and his Muppet pals will meet in this new special. Will they run afoul of the Balding Man, Old Woman, Tightrope Walker, Medusa, or the Werecat Lady? I certainly hope so, but then again, anything can happen in the Haunted Mansion. Will Pepe be forced to marry Constance Hatchaway, the Black Widow Bride? Will Electric Mayhem jam out with the Organist? Will the Singing Busts join the chorus when the Muppets sing their songs? I have so many questions!

It's been a great many years since I've tuned in for any kind of Halloween Special, and I can't think of a better way to celebrate the best holiday of the year than with Gonzo, Pepe, the Muppets, and the many horrors that reside in The Haunted Mansion. Let's be sure to wear our brown pants to the party and do this thing!
