Paradise is an illusion in trailer for Netflix’s The I-Land

So that's where the DHARMA shark's been hanging out. Netflix is set to launch a new sci-fi action/adventure series which seems to draw upon Lost, THE HUNGER GAMES, THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, THE MATRIX, and the ill-fated Fyre Festival. Starring Kate Bosworth, who also produces, as well as Natalie Martinez (Kingdom), Alex Pettyfer (MAGIC MIKE), and Kyle Schmid (Being Human), The I-Land follows ten people who wake up on a treacherous island with no memory of who they are or how they got there. Setting off on a trek to try to get back home, they soon discover that this world is not as it seems. Faced with the island’s extreme psychological and physical challenges, they must rise to their better selves — or die as their worst ones.

Netflix has released a new trailer for The I-Land which gives us a much better glimpse into the upcoming series, but long story short, you're got a group of attractive people stuck on a mysterious island where all is not as it seems, some sort of conspiracy, and Bruce McGill in a cowboy hat. That's enough for me.

The I-Land will debut on Netflix on September 12, 2019.
