Production is underway on 13 Fanboy, starring Dee Wallace & F13 alumni

After eleven days of filming last summer, production on director Deborah Voorhees' film 13 FANBOY has now resumed for a twenty-four day block of filming. This is a project I'm excited about not only because Voorhees had a memorable role in FRIDAY THE 13TH: A NEW BEGINNING, but also because she has brought several of her fellow F13 alumni along for the ride.

The cast of 13 FANBOY includes F13 stars Adrienne King, Kane Hodder, C.J. Graham, Thom Mathews, Judie Aronson, Lar Park Lincoln, Tracie Savage, Jennifer Banko, Ron Sloan, Carol Locatell, Corey Feldman, and Voorhees herself. Their co-stars include Andrew Leighty, Vincente DiSanti, Hayley Reece Greenbauer, and genre icon Dee Wallace.

Written by Voorhees and producer Joel Paul Reisig, the film will tell the following story:

As a child, Kelsie witnesses the murder of her grandmother, a Friday the 13th actress, at the hands of a crazy fanboy. As an adult, she discovers her grandmother isn't the only victim and finds herself battling to save the life of her grandmother's best friend, also an actress from Friday the 13th, only to find she is now being targeted by the killer. But who is the killer? So many suspects, including the man lying beside her.

I look forward to hearing more about 13 FANBOY as it makes its way through production and toward release. We'll keep you updated on the project as further information is revealed.
