Rick & Morty season 5 trailer delivers sci-fi hijinks & horny ocean men

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Rick & Morty will return, and much sooner than I anticipated. Adult Swim have released a trailer for the upcoming fifth season of Rick & Morty which also reveals that the new season will debut on June 20th. As fans have become accustomed to lengthy waits between seasons, this isn't bad at all as the previous season concluded just last year. Now bring on season six! We're greedy!

In addition to revealing the release date of the new season, Adult Swim have designated that day as Rick and Morty Day, a Multiverse holiday which will be celebrated globally as fans will receive "a megadose of access and content of all things Rick and Morty," which includes sneak peaks, behind-the-scenes footage, and a few special surprises. Rick & Morty follows the insanely dangerous galactic misadventures of sociopathic scientist Rick Sanchez (Justin Roiland) and his timid grandson, Morty (Roiland). Along for the ride are Rick's daughter Beth (Sarah Chalke), son-in-law Jerry (Chris Parnell), and granddaughter Summer (Spencer Grammer).

Rick & Morty will return on June 20, 2021. Will you be watching?
