To aid Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) in his search for Baby Yoda (himself), the Imperial had a platoon of Dark Troopers at his disposal. "The third-generation design Dark Troopers are no longer suits," reads the official description. "The human inside was the final weakness to be solved. They are now droids. These troopers proved to be very intimidating and dangerous as the Mandalorian struggled to defeat even one of these fearsome foes during his rescue mission of Grogu aboard from Moff Gideon’s ship." Although Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) barely managed to defeat the single Dark Trooper, the combat droids didn't stand a chance against a certain someone who made quick work of them in the season finale of The Mandalorian.
Hot Toys have given the Dark Trooper their excellent 1/6 scale treatment with their latest figure, and you can check out a handful of photos below!
The Dark Trooper figure features a "highly detailed helmet and mechanical armor parts, specially applied black armor painting, LED light up functions, a blaster, and a display base." The figure stands around 32.5 cm tall with over 25 points of articulation and also features six interchangeable hands. The Dark Trooper figure is slated to be released in Q2-Q3, 2022, so those who want to add the future to their collection still have a bit of a wait in store.
Although "you know who" destroyed all the of Dark Troopers in the season two finale of The Mandalorian (check out our review here!), whose to say that there aren't a few more scattered around the galaxy, just waiting to menace our heroes once again.
