This film is ideal for anyone looking for some cheap thrills, a pretty cool plot (a temporary secretary who wacks people out just so she could move ahead in the company), Lara Flynn Boyle before she got all skinny and shit, and Timothy Hutton’s hair!
I had a blast watching this movie because it was fun, it actually didn’t fall into any major plot holes until later on in the film and everyone in it was good (Faye Dunaway still looking pretty awesome at her age).
It also had one of the coolest closing lines of any film, that being, “Oh yeah, and you’re fired!”
Anyway, if you want a tight script with three-dimensional characters, riveting performances and edge-of-your-seat excitement, don’t rent this movie! If you’re looking for an over-the-top thriller, with implausible killings (without anybody noticing a pattern?), some fun lines, a great looking lead (and I ain’t talking about Hutton!) and Oliver Platt acting like Oliver Platt (sans all the fat that he’s packed on since…), then check this puppy out.
I had a good time and enjoyed it for the cheesy little thriller that it was…
