I want this movie right now. These pictures are barely more than Joseph Gordon-Levitt being suavely badass and I want this movie right now. Official photos from LOOPER have been hard to come by, but with the September 28th release date coming closer and closer I think it’s fair to believe that more will be revealed in relatively short order. Or so we can hope… I feel like I keep saying that, and it still doesn’t happen.  But it really will this time! I can feel it!

Plot recap: In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination.

LOOPER was/is written and directed by Rian Johnson (BRICK), and also features Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, Piper Perabo, and Jeff Daniels.
