When HOCUS POCUS came out back in 1993, all of my female friends were in love with it. They loved it so much that I immediately disliked it since they never shut up about it. Every Halloween after that, one of my friends would always talk about how it was time to watch HOCUS POCUS. I’d say it took at least ten years for me to actually sit down and watch it all they way through.
Verdict? For as corny and silly as it is, I like it. Plus, gotta give it up to Omri Katz. Who here watched EERIE, INDIANA? People also say that this was the only time Sarah Jessica Parker was hot.
What would you think about Disney making a sequel to the film titled, HOCUS POCUS 2: RISE OF THE ELDERWITCH? Moviehole states that the second installment will involve a new evil witch. The story is in the early development stages so there’s not much to report when it comes to a plot. I also can’t tell you if any of the actors from the original will be returning. I know you have to remember the movie: “After 300 years, three sister witches are resurrected in Salem Massachusetts on Halloween night, and it us up to two teenagers, a young girl, and an immortal cat to put an end to the witches reign of terror once and for all.”
