On October 16th, After Dark Films will be bringing a new batch of 8 Films to Die For to theatres around the United States. While we've known the date for a while, we haven't known how wide the release will be or what theatres will be showing the films. We have that information now, as the list of theatres has been announced on the 8 Films to Die For website. They are:

Boston - Hollywood Hits - Danvers, MA

Chicago - South Barrington 30 - South Barrington, IL

Cleveland - Great Lakes Stadium 16 - Mentor, OH

Detroit - Emagine 18 - Canton, MI

Minneapolis - Mall of America 14 - Bloomington, MN

Dallas - Studio Movie Grill Spring Valley 16 - Dallas, TX

Jacksonville - Studio Movie Grill Tampa - Tampa, FL

Denver - Harkins Northfield 18 - Denver, CO

Los Angeles - Citywalk Stadium 19 - Universal City, CA

Phoenix - Superstition Springs 25 - Mesa, AZ

San Francisco - Brenden Modesto 18 - Modesto, CA

Cast and crew members from some or all eight of the features will be present at the Los Angeles premiere at Universal City Walk, signing autographs and taking pictures with fans. Tickets will be available for purchase as of October 2nd.

This year's very solid looking lineup of 8 Films to Die For are RE-KILL, MURDER IN THE DARK, THE WICKED WITHIN, LUMBERJACK MAN, SUSPENSION, UNNATURAL, BASTARD, and WIND WALKERS.

Artwork and a trailer for the event can be seen below.

If none of the theatres are within a reasonable range of you, don't be discouraged. All eight films will also be available on Digital HD at Amazon on October 16th as well.

In a theatre or at home, I will be watching these movies for sure. How about you?

Extra Tidbit: Will you be watching the 8 Films to Die For on October 16th?

Eleven theaters is not many theaters. However, let us look at the possible upside. Cineplexes are more likely to run limited release Experimenter on 10/16 if those cineplexes are not running 8 Films to Die For. I shall catch this new horrorfest somehow. And, no asshole shall be talking throughout the movies--unless I have flatulence. After Dark offerings are hit and miss. However, I always enjoy them.
