Last month I told you all how the great Liam Neeson was set to join the suddenly hot again Christina Ricci (below) in Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo’s AFTER.LIFE. Well today two more names have joined the cast according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Those two names are Justin Long and Josh Charles. Interesting choices. AFTER.LIFE is about a young woman caught between life and death. A funeral director appears to have the gift of transitioning the dead, but may be intent on burying her alive. Ricci is set to play the lead with Neeson as the funeral director. Long will play Ricci’s boyfriend Paul while Charles plays Paul’s friend.

I’m all dandy with Ricci, Neeson, and Charles.. but Long seems to be an acquired taste. Don’t get me wrong, I’m actually a huge fan of Justin Long. LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD is easily a movie I can watch over and over and I loved Long in flicks like ACCEPTED and STRANGE WILDERNESS. But making the transition from stoner comedies to high brow genre flicks? Long (above) is already starring in Sam Raimi’s DRAG ME TO HELL opposite Alison Lohman, now he’s scoring with Christina Ricci in a flick that stars Liam Neeson? Long pretty much started his acting career in the genre with JEEPERS CREEPERS, so here’s hoping he returns with a bang!

Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo is both writing and directing the film with a start date set for sometime this month in New York. Keep it here for any more updates on AFTER.LIFE.
