Can you believe how long it’s been since the last DARK KNIGHT update? I’m having withdrawls. Actually.. I’m OK with it. One of my biggest worries heading into this new year was that the advertising for TDK was going to hurt it, so far so good in that department. I’m ok with going a couple months without another huge TDK update. I mean that last trailer was enough to have me giddy with excitement for months.

Regardless of my being OK with no huge TDK news, I did find some small tidbits I’ve decided to share with you all today. Just a couple interviews with people related to the Bat somehow or other. Several people have spoke up on TDK and the look at Heath Ledger we’ve had thus far. And aside from Jack Nicholson, it’s all been very positive. Well now we’ve got Mark Hamill giving his 2 cents. Maybe your asking yourself WTF does Mark Hamill have to do with Batman? Well he voiced The Joker in Paul Dini’s BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES. Hamill told MTV the following:

“The balls-out debauched psycho approach seems like a great way of reinventing everyone’s favorite scary (and scar-y) clown.”

Now the second person that recently had something to say was Rachel Dawes herself.. not Katie Holmes, let’s all just forget about her. I’m talking about Maggie Gyllenhaal. She had a small bit to say about TDK in her interview with Metro.co.uk. Here’s some of what she said:

“There are moments of that. Chris Nolan, the director, would joke about how I had to resign myself to being a little bit of a damsel in distress but he pushed me in other ways to make her a powerful character.”
