Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Well, this is one hell of a story. Turns out that David Sandberg's hit short film KUNG FURY is going to be made into a feature-length film with Sandberg starring and producing under his Laser Unicorns’ banner. And if that wasn't cool enough, wait for this shite…

Not only have David Hasselhoff and Michael f*cking Fassbender signed on to co-star in the film with Sandberg, but as of today, we are getting news that Arnold Schwarzenegger will be joining in on the fury as well. Wow. Just wow. Talk about a crazy-ass movie, right? The original short film was a Kickstarter record-breaking success and has gained over 40 million views worldwide, but still, this is crazy.

STEPHEN KING'S IT producers David Katzenberg, Seth Grahame-Smith and Aaron Schmidt will be producing under their KatzSmith Productions banner, with Philip Westgren of B-Reel Films and Conor McCaughan producing as well. We'll let you know once we hear more on this sure-to-be-amazing film as we hear it but until then make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think of the film thus far in the comments below or on social media!

Synopsis:

It’s 1985, the best year ever. Miami is kept safe under the watchful eye of Kung Fury, the greatest damn cop of all time. Kung Fury’s Thundercops are the ultimate police force assembled from across history to defeat the villainous Kung Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler. After the tragic death of a Thundercop causes the group to disband, a mysterious villain emerges from the shadows to aid in the Fuhrer’s quest to attain the ultimate weapon. Kung Fury must travel space and time itself to save his friends, defend the prestigious Miami Kung Fu Academy, and defeat evil once and for all.

The feature, which is a sequel to the original short (which you can watch in its entirety below) begins shooting this Summer.
