Bruce going theatrical!

Last Updated on July 27, 2021

Great news has dropped into the lap of ShockTillYouDrop (better than what’s usually in their lap 😉 concerning the long, long awaited comedy MY NAME IS BRUCE. Apparently, this thing hasn’t been collecting dust for no good reason – turns out the flick is SO good it got more moolah for a theatrical distribution!

I’ll let Dark Horse Comics’ Mike Richardon, who ran into Shock at the Saturn Awards, tell it: “Some people maybe thought the film fell out or that there was something wrong with it… We did our shoot, put it in the can and the studio that financed it liked it so much they gave us more money to do a second shoot. We beefed it up so it could go into the theaters.”

Awesome! I think most of us figured this flick, which was directed by Bruce Campbell, was headed for a perfunctory DVD release. To read that it’s going theatrical is damn near heart-warming. It’s due to hit this October!

The good news doesn’t stop there: Seems as though a sequel is being planned, with the title MY NAME IS STILL BRUCE. Ha ha…

The flick’s lead hottie: Grace Thorsen, who had better hail to the king, baby.
