Constantine casts Emmett Scanlan as Jim Corrigan

A little over a month away from premiering, NBC’s “Constantine” continues to cast major roles. The latest to join the supernatural drama is Irish actor Emmett Scanlan, who will appear as Det. Jim Corrigan.

Corrigan is described as a man who is “obsessed with justice, and who doesn’t let police procedure or red tape stop him from putting away the bad guys, even if the bad guys turn out to be inhuman.” DC Comics purists will note Jim Corrigan ultimately becomes “The Spectre.”

Scanlan was recently seen in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY and BBC’s zombie series “In the Flesh.”

Constantine debuts on Friday, Oct. 24 at 10 p.m.
