Early sales art for Stephen King’s Cell phones in

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It's been a long, hard road getting an adaptation of Stephen King's bestselling novel CELL to the screen. We've been following the project since 2007 when Eli Roth was set to helm a big-screen version and later informed you of John Harrison's attempt to bring it to television. Now PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 director Tod 'Kip' Williams is working to finally bring CELL in front of the cameras with 1408 star John Cusack set to star and today we have some early AFM sales art to share with you.

When a powerful signal is broadcast across mobile networks worldwide, cell phone users’ minds are instantly and dangerously re-programmed. Heading north through New England in search of his wife and son, Clay Riddell (Cusack) is joined by a group of survivors hoping to fend off the bloodthirsty and hyper-connected “phoners.”

The film is still in pre-production. Here's hoping this latest attempt to get it made is successful. Check out the AFM sales art below.
