Harris joins Living Dead!

Last Updated on July 26, 2021

I hadn’t yet fully accepted the fact that NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD is getting rebooted/remade/prequelized in 3D – but I guess I have no choice now. The film is moving forward, and it has gobbled up its first castmember… Thank god it’s an appealing one.

Our beloved Danielle Harris will be tackling the role of “Barbara”, the actress announced today via her Twitter account. To be precise, the actress – recently so very likable in HALLOWEEN II – said “meeting with the director for “Night of the Living Dead”!! Hope I get it!! That would rock!!. Then today, she let loose with “All you’re good luck wishes worked! Guess who’s gonna be Barbara???!!”

The film, which is actually titled NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: ORIGINS, will be directed by Zebediah de Soto, who also co-wrote with David R. Schwartz. It’s being called an “American-style anime”, and I really don’t know what that means, exactly, but I don’t like it. I’ll try my best to be open-minded here, and the involvement of Harris – whom I really do like – doesn’t hurt, but this whole thing just gives me bad vibes.
