More Feast to come

When ‘Project Greenlight’ was documenting the horrors of making a horror movie, I couldn’t get enough of the show. Then, when FEAST came out about a year ago, it became one of the top 10 movies to gander around the Halloween holiday season. Let’s face it, the flick was filled with gory, monster-movie fun!

So it’s awesome to hear that there are not one, but two direct to DVD sequels in the works right now, with director John Gulagar and writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan returning for more. F*ckin’ A right, they are!

In a chat with Fangoria, Dunstan had this to say about the upcoming sequels: …if they let us get away with the vulgarities we’ve currently scripted, and if we don’t get deported, we just may have the NC-17-rated monsterfest that was only hinted at in the first film.

Wow! I like the sounds of that! Considering the crazy amount of unrated gore the first film had, I can only imagine the craziness that will unfold if they went a few steps further. This is probably one of the few occasions where they’re lucky they’re shooting for straight to DVD, as they’ll get away with a lot more if they just go with the unrated route!
