NBC is getting into the horror game with MIDNIGHT MASS, which will be a live-action drama adaptation of the comic book series from DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint. The books revolve around Adam and Julia Kadmons, a sophisticated, sexy, globe-trotting husband-and-wife team who solve mysteries and crimes of the supernatural.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, producers have been trying to get the project off the ground for a long time, but – obviously – this is the first time that things are moving forward. No stars have been attached yet, but Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts are on board to write the project for Warner Bros. TV.
Berg and Harberts have been in t.v. for a while, having worked on shows like “Roswell” and “Pushing Daisies”. They also co-wrote the screenplay for VALENTINE, starring Denise Richards (pictured below).
With this and AMC’s “The Walking Dead” coming soon, television might be getting cool again… But we’ll have to wait and see.
