Avatar trailer soon | Movie News
Do you need more convincing to see James Cameron's AVATAR?
Well, whether you do or don't, a new trailer for the movie will play in theaters this Friday, October 23rd. If you aren't heading to the theater, you'll have to wait until the 29th when it debuts online. It's likely that a bootleg will pop up on YouTube though.
For those of you who weren't impressed by the first teaser trailer, this one is supposed to be the ultimate. It will show much more of the story clocking in at a length 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
A lot of you pointed out that the 3D footage shown at AVATAR Day was amazing and that the teaser did the movie absolutely no justice. On the other hand, some of you could care less and think that it would shitty with or without 3D. When the new trailer comes, maybe it will change some minds.

The 3D created by Cameron was made to mimic the human eye (the cameras move around like two eyes, as opposed to the two cameras being attached statically together.)

Nothing can change my mind about this, I'm pretty sure Avatar will be a commercial bomb after all of the hype and dollars put into it.
But shit, I'll still take another trailer.

I'm tired of hearing "you simply haven't seen the real thing unless it's in an imax with 3D while Cameron is on your lap stroking your hair." Guess what? It costs just as much to get a ticket for AVATAR on 35mm as it did to get a ticket for There Will Be Blood, or No Country for Old Men, or Up. And if the storytelling is good enough for me to be immersed in those on a regular 35mm print, than i'll be damned if
"the legend James Cameron" can't do the same.
I'm optimistic for AVATAR, but i'm tired of the revolutionary cinematic technology that gets the attention. It makes me question whether or not the actual film has any value.

I was hoping for something in the vein of Aliens and The Terminator but instead we get bright colors.
