I know you're all itching to watch Ben Kingsley do his thing, and while his NOT-MANDARIN Marvel spin-off film has yet to be announced, maybe this will tie someone over. Spike TV has produced a mini-series on the King who's name people have to double check the spelling for, King Tutankhamun. This limited run seeks to explore the drama of power, political back-stabbing, war and murder as it chronicles King Tut's rise to glory, his efforts to rule a chaotic empire and the enigma surrounding his death. With shows like Game of Thrones, Vikings and Black Sails pulling off period-esque pieces with some serious flair, it's hard to take what's going on here seriously. The very look of it is vanilla, so perhaps they have a strong script? Hey, I'm giving the benefit of the doubt here! Kingsley can play this role in his sleep, so until we get him back in the Marvel universe…
