Interview: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’s Timur Bekmambetov & Seth Grahame-Smith

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Timur Bekmambetov, originally known as the director of the visually-striking Russian smash hits NIGHT WATCH and DAY WATCH, made his mark in a big, international way with WANTED, the Angelina Jolie-led action-thriller which gathered over $340 million worldwide. Seth Grahame-Smith’s name lit up three years ago with the publication of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES, a mash-up of Jane Austin’s proper 19th Century novel and a flesh-gnawing zombie tale.

Combined, with the guidance of producer Tim Burton, the two have brought us ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, a most unusual peek into the 16th President of the United States’ secret quest to rid the world of bloodsuckers.
