I'm not saying the upcoming Alex Aja horror flick MIRRORS is gonna be bad, but this certainly isn't the best way to introduce us to it. "What if the mirrors can make us do things we don't want to do?" Seriously? And I thought the plot of the film had to do with Sutherland working as a security guard at a mall? This teaser (a brief 44 seconds) seems to indicate some sort of haunted house, complete with spooky kid. Enough spooky kids! I loved it back when old people were scary. Like this guy! Or this guy! Check out the trailer below courtesy Yahoo! Video. MIRRORS hits theaters on August 15.

Has he forgotten that he made HAUT TENSION?
I loved Haut Tension, and even the Hills Have Eyes remake, while not soo up to par with TENSION, still rlly well done in my eyes but this? ... Looks like a huge, steaming pile of generic crap! I was hoping for a fresh, brutal, grimmy take on the ghost movie with Sutherland being a badass mess ... well i do see the badness in here, just not in the way i thought ...

I gotta say...
as much as I've been looking forward to Aja's next film (yes, yes), this looks quite disappointing. Hopefully more footage (more EXCITING footage, fingers crossed), will spill soon.

Is this really a remake?
The original film was about a security guard investigating a murder in a mall/department store. This seems to be about a married man discovering his house in haunted. While both films involve mirrors the premise is certainly different, far more formulaic than the original than was.
