Fox has released a new trailer for X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, and it contains a very solid amount of previously unseen footage. New stuff includes glimpses of the mutants in action, including Ben Hardy's Angel taking on Kodi Smit-Mcphee's Nightcrawler and Nicholas Hoult's Beast battling Olivia Munn's Psylocke. There's also some new looks at other new and returning faces to the franchise, such as Michael Fassbender as Magneto, James McAvoy as Professor X, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, and, of course, Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse.

"You're not students anymore. You're X-Men."

Synopsis:

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto, to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven with the help of Professor X must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

I'm definitely planning on seeing X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, but for whatever reason I'm just not that excited about the next installment in the comic book movie series. What are your thoughts on the latest trailer for the upcoming film?

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE is due out on May 27, 2016.
