Josh Stewart, Floriana Lima, Giorgia Whigham join The Punisher Season 2 cast

When Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) makes his return to Netflix for the second season of his solo series, a few new faces will be joining the cast of those caught in The Punisher's vengeful wake.

As of this afternoon, Deadline has exclusively announced that Josh Stewart (THE COLLECTOR), Floriana Lima (SUPERGIRL), and Giorgia Whigham (THE ORVILLE) have been cast as series regulars for the upcoming season of Marvel's hard-boiled action drama.

In THE PUNISHER, Frank Castle aka The Punisher embarks on a self-assigned mission to punish the criminals responsible for the death of his wife and child. While working his way through the pain, as well as the individuals who'd wronged him, Frank finds that he's become an anti-hero caught in a military conspiracy unlike he's ever known before.

According to Deadline, when the show reloads for a second season, Josh Stewart will play John Pilgrim, a man whose calm exterior belies a ruthless interior. Despite having left behind a life of violence, circumstances will force him to use his old skills and bring him into Frank Castle’s world. Floriana Lima will enter the series as Krista Dumont, a smart, compassionate, and driven psychotherapist for military veterans. And last but certainly not least, Whigham will portray Amy Bendix, a street-smart grifter with a mysterious past.

In talking about the new members of the cast, Jeph Loeb, Head of Marvel Television to Deadline that “Josh, Floriana and Giorgia are all remarkable talents and we can’t wait for the audience to see what we have in store for them in the second season of Marvel’s The Punisher.”

THE PUNISHER executive producer, Steve Lightfoot, also lent his comments to the conversation by saying “We are incredibly excited to have Josh, Floriana and Giorgia joining the cast of Marvel’s The Punisher and seeing them bring their talents to the next chapter in the Frank Castle story.”

Once the show is locked and loaded for production, the new cast members will join Bernthal in addtion to Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, and Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle for more brood-tastic violence and over-the-top action.
