The second film in Kevin Smith's True North Trilogy, YOGA HOSERS tells the story of Colleen Collette and Colleen McKenzie – two teenage besties from Winnipeg who spend their lives doing Yoga with their faces in their phones, 'Liking' or 'Not Liking' the real world around them. But when these Sophomore girls are invited to a Senior party by the school hottie, the Colleens accidentally uncover an ancient evil, long buried beneath the Manitoba earth. Believe you me, it only gets crazier from there in the trailer for YOGA HOSERS!
I wasn't the biggest fan of TUSK, and my gut says that this movie isn't going to fare much better. By all accounts, our own review of the flick (check it out HERE) doesn't paint a very pretty picture, but there's an audience for every film, right? I'd rather Smith jump back on to the MALLRATS 2 and CLERKS 3 bandwagon than finish out his ode to Canada. Still, at least the man is excited about filmmaking again. Here's hoping it leads to something more substantial down the road.
YOGA HOSERS will see a limited theatrical release on July 29, 2016.
