The President of the United States in in trouble again. That’s the premise of the OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN sequel LONDON HAS FALLEN, which takes us across the pond to the United Kingdom where a terrorist attack has left several world leaders dead and the Leader of the Free World, Aaron Eckhart, running for his life with Secret Service Agent Gerard Butler has his main source of protection.
However, this is more than some chase around London movie. There are some heavy stakes with plans to broadcast the execution of the President for propaganda purposes really leapfrogging anything we’ve seen before. And, while I wish some things may have gotten held back from this first trailer, I think this could turn out to be a solid follow-up to what was really an underrated action flick (WHITE HOUSE DOWN was also much better than people give it credit for).
