* Sniff * What? I'm not crying. You're the one who's crying! Okay, so maybe this trailer got me a little choked up. I love watching dreams come true, dammit.

Warner Bros. has allowed the trailer for A STAR IS BORN to take center stage today, a film directed, co-written, and starring Bradley Cooper opposite pop star sensation and actress Lady Gaga. The upcoming film depicts a emotionally-charged romance inspired by two talented artists destined to create beautiful music together.

In the film, Cooper steps into the role of Jackson Maine, who discovers — and falls in love with — struggling artist Ally (Gaga). Just as she's ready to give up on her dream, Maine appears in her life as a guiding star to help the young singer and actress find fame, even as age and alcoholism send his own career into a downward spiral.

The project marks Cooper's directorial debut for a film he co-wrote alongside the talents of Will Fetters, Eric Roth, Irene Mecchi, Stephen J. Rivele and Christopher Wilkinson. Actors Andrew Dice Clay, Dave Chappelle and Sam Elliott also co-star in the dramatic musical that is sure put a song in the heart of audience members when it arrives in theaters on October 5th.
