Elvira, Mistress of the Dark to star in Infinite Warfare: Absolution DLC

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

While growing up, I've had a number of cinematic crushes. My all-time crush is Rosario Dawson, after having fallen in love with her when she starred in Larry Clark's KIDS. Beyond Ms. Dawson, Milla Jovovich, Charlize Theron, Lucy Lawless, Regina Hall, Aisha Tyler and Geena Davis have always had the ability to transfix me with their talents and beauty. As lovely as all those women are, the one who captures the interests of my little black heart the most has always been Casandra Peterson, otherwise known as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. I still remember the first time I saw her, and how her crude humor, giant raven black hair, and revealing attire awakened something in me like whoa.

Today, it's been announced that Elvira, Mistress of the Dark will be making her first video game appearance in CALL OF DUTY's INFINITE WARFARE: ABSOLUTION DLC. Next month, an INFINITE WARFARE expansion pack will arrive beside four new multiplayer maps and a new addition to the Zombies Mode feature.

ATTACK OF THE RADIOACTIVE THING will find four players fighting for their lives against the undead in a '50s-style horror environment, just like the creature features that Elvira herself was so famous for hosting back in the day. Cassadra Peterson (Elvira) will be your guide through the new level, and will offer you tips on how to play safe, engage in side quests, and perhaps even turn you on a bit with her patented brand of ribald humor.

Infinite Warfare: Absolution will drop on PS4 on July 6. PC and Xbox releases are expected to arrive further down the line.

Oh man, I've been holding out on purchasing this game … until now. There's no way I'll be able to sleep if I know that this content is out there in the world and I don't own it. My mission has become clear. It will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.
