Big Brothers

The Big Brother/Big Sister programs do a lot of good for young kids in need of some family care. But what happens if you’re reunited with your little brother? John Cena is about to find out. And his little brother would grow up to be Eric André. Netflix has just released the trailer for the comedy Little Brother, which takes a humorous look at a guy who has to uncomfortably accept a stranger into his life, as the stranger is attached to him, but wackiness ensues and he gets more than he bargained for.

Netflix’s Little Brother

Little Brother stars John Cena, Eric Andre, Michelle Monaghan, Chris Meloni, Ego Nwodim, Sherry Cola, Caleb Hearon, Ben Ahlers, Bryce Gheisar and Pilot Bunch. The official synopsis for Little Brother reads,
Little Brother revolves around a famous real estate agent (Cena) whose carefully curated world is upended when his eccentric ‘little brother’ (André) unexpectedly reappears in his life.”

The D-Train filmmakers Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel wrote the screenplay for the comedy with Matt Spicer taking on the directing duties. Spicer’s resume includes writing and directing the delightfully dark parasocial comedy Ingrid Goes West, which starred Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen. Little Brother is produced by David Bernad for Middle Child Pictures and Ruben Fleischer, who usually directs for films like the Zombieland movies and Now You See Me: Now You Don’t.

Upcoming for Cena

Cena can also be seen in the upcoming Coyote vs. Acme, which will finally get a release. Directed by Dave Green from a screenplay by Samy Burch (who crafted the story with James Gunn and Jeremy Slater), Coyote vs. Acme features Will Forte playing a down-on-his-luck attorney who takes on Wile E. Coyote as a client in a suit against the ACME Corporation over its defective products, only to discover that his boss (John Cena) at his former law firm is representing ACME, but the growing friendship between Wile E. and his lawyer only fuels their desire to win the case.

Meanwhile, Little Brother starts streaming on June 26.
