It’s been 15 years since Ang Lee‘s CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON swept up audiences, and now Netflix is returning to that world with CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON: SWORD OF DESTINY. This film, directed by acclaimed action choreographer Yuen Wo-Ping, tells an epic story of lost love, young love, a legendary sword and one last opportunity at redemption, set against breathtaking action in an epic martial arts battle between good and evil that will decide the fate of the Martial World. I suppose we can chalk this up with the sequel that may deliver too little too late, but I’m always down for some kung-fu action, even if the story doesn’t quite deliver. This trailer doesn’t really give us much in the way of drama, so maybe Yeoh and Yen have some goods to show off in that arena. If not . . . well, it’s cool to see Jason Scott Lee getting some work!
