Foxy Canadian singer and recent “Nip/Tuck” lesbian Alanis Morissette has joined the cast of the Phillip K. Dick adapted (and apparently semi-autobiographical) trippy sci fi romantic dramedy RADIO FREE ALBEMUTH. Under writer-director John Alan Simon, the film follows a record label executive (Jonathan Scarfe) who has recurrent visions of a glamorous singer named Sylvia (Morissette). When Sylvia, who in real life is an ordinary woman and recent cancer survivor, becomes the executive’s secretary, a sprawling romantic drama ensues told in a mindfuck way as only Dick can provide. The film is already underway in and around Los Angeles. Morissette will hopefully soon be back on “Nip/Tuck” portraying that ballsy lesbian who’s really kind of an a-hole.
