An all-star cast heads up the latest trailer for the crime thriller Triple 9

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Director John Hillcoat has an amazing capacity to bring a great sense of authenticity to his films (THE ROAD, THE PROPOSITION) and now he's bringing his A-game to the modern-day crime flick, TRIPLE 9. The story follows a gang of criminals and corrupt cops who plan the murder of a police officer in order to pull off their biggest heist yet, and the film features a hell of an ensemble cast including Woody Harrelson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Kate Winslet, Casey Affleck, Aaron Paul, Gal Gadot, Anthony Mackie, Clifton Collins Jr. and Norman Reedus, among others! Strap in and check out the latest action-packed trailer below!

Hillcoat isn't the busiest man when it comes to directing feature-films, so when one comes around, I can't help but sit up and take notice. His last feature, Shia LaBeouf's LAWLESS, didn't exactly win me over, though. With that said, the director knows how to get some great performances out of his actors and I'm willing to bet TRIPLE 9 will continue in that fashion. Plus…Kate Winslet.

TRIPLE 9 hits theaters on February 26, 2016.
