Cool Videos: How it should have ended: Star Wars: The Phantom Menace

Y'know, this is almost too easy of a target for the How It Should Have Ended series, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. STAR WARS: EPISODE I – THE PHANTOM MENACE is probably one of the most polarizing films ever made. While young generations just introduced to Star Wars loved it, the "original trilogy" generation were left with "raped childhoods." However hyperbolic you want to be about the film, there's still no denying that it's got some serious plot and character issues, which HISHE tackles here, albeit with tongue planted firmly in cheek. I often wonder how Lucas really feels, in retrospect, about the decisions he made on the film, particularly on the huge gamble to place Jar Jar into such a key role, which ultimately was a losing bet. Either way, it's fun to revisit the "what if's" of stuff like this, right?

Enjoy:

I'm pretty sure that J.J. Abrams is doing everything he can to keep STAR WARS: EPISODE VII from being anything like this. In that sense, Episode 1 serves a great purpose…as a cautionary film in the franchise.
