The official soundtrack for THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO released this weekend and to kick things off right, they’ve released a music video for Karen O. and Trent Reznor’s cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song”.
Details on exactly who created the video are sketchy at this point but it looks to be a collaboration between David Fincher and Kyle Cooper, the designer who created the now-legendary opening sequence for SEVEN.
I have yet to see DRAGON TATTOO (the screening in NYC is this afternoon) but I’m told what you see in this video is essentially an extended version of the opening credits of the film. I’m not exactly sure what’s happening in this video (a girl is washing her hair?) but it’s definitely got a distinct visual style that shouldn’t surprise people familiar with the work of Fincher and Cooper (see more of his work here).
