Okay, so this is probably the coolest thing you’re going to see all day, short of some massively awesome new trailer or epic news. Some of you may remember producer Adi Shankar’s “bootleg” short DIRTY LAUNDRY from last year, which starred Thomas Jane as The Punisher, but in an uncredited way. It was a really cool, inventive, and clever short that basically used the Marvel brand without officially naming it as such. Now, Shankar is back at it again with TRUTH IN JOURNALISM, a new short directed by Joe Lynch (KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM) that stars Ryan Kwanten (HBO’s True Blood) as…well, I can’t say. It’s killing me to just tell you, but the reveal at the end is too cool to spoil. You may find yourself getting a little impatient as you watch, but trust me when I tell you that it’s worth the wait.

If nothing else, this short teases the possibilities of this VERY famous character on the big screen, who has already graced it once. That’s more than enough of a tease to get you started. I hope that Shankar continues to produce these “Marvelous” bootlegs as they’re much more fun than Marvel’s own one shots. Oh, and check back here for an interview with Joe Lynch about the making of this short after you’re done watching for some cool inside info.

Enjoy!:
