Damon Lindelof says he would love to make a Marvel movie

Damon Lindelof has made a name for himself as one of the most prolific show runners in television history. With such series as Lost, The Leftovers & Watchmen under his belt, his creative mind could do just about anything and it makes you wonder what he could take on next. The subject came up recently while promoting his newest writing effort, THE HUNT, about whether or not he'd take on a Marvel film & Lindelof seems open to the idea.

In an interview with "Fandom", Lindelof admitted to be eyeing major movie franchises like the Marvel Cinematic Universe or STAR WARS and he says Marvel is growing more and more appealing to him for very specific reasons:

"I think that doing something in the Marvel universe, anywhere in the Marvel Universe, would be really potentially exciting for me, especially as they start to get a little bit more experimental. Some of the things that I’ve seen for WandaVision’ for example, just feel like, ‘OK, now we’re getting somewhere.’ Particularly in a television space."

The question was even brought up about STAR WARS & Lindelof could definitely see taking it on but seems more keen to jump into the MCU before learning to use "The Force.":

"And, at some point, but certainly not in the immediate future, I feel like I would love to do something in the ‘Star Wars’ universe. Maybe a decade from now when I would no longer be blamed for ruining it. That would be a hoot."

Lindelof, despite being more known for television projects, has cut his teeth writing films before with such efforts as STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, PROMETHEUS & WORLD WAR Z, so he's definitely capable of taking on such efforts but I do know he'd probably make some polarizing choices that make fans take to Twitter with their pitchforks. I'd be open to seeing what he can do, just because he would make it interesting.
