DC FanDome Event announces huge DC stars & a 24-hour virtual fan experience

Warner Bros. has been teasing their highly anticipated DC FanDome Event which is set to a be a global 24-hour virtual experience that will give DC fans the biggest news about their upcoming projects and now we have a clearer picture of some of that stars that will be in attendance and exactly how this event will go down from the comfort of your home.

The DC Fandome Event is an unprecedented 24-hour, truly immersive, global virtual fan experience that takes place on August 22, 2020, at 10:00 AM PDT with no lines, no badges, and it's completely free to enter! That means no camping out with your closest friends outside for a full day just be one of the first to get the latest news and see some of your favorite DC stars. 

As for the event being unprecedented, this really is the first-ever global celebration of the DC Multiverse covering the brand’s biggest films, live-action series, animated TV series, games, and comics. To celebrate the event truly being a global experience, DC FanDome will be available in 9 languages: Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish.

As for who will be in attendance, with over 300 stars, cast members, creators and crew from DC properties, you're bound to find at least one of your favorites but I'm sure the true fan highlight will be some of the stars and creative team behind the highly anticipated Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE, which is set to make its debut on HBO Max next year. Some of the stars confirmed to attend from that project are director Zack Snyder and stars Gal Gadot and Ezra Miller. THE SUICIDE SQUAD will be fully represented with director James Gunn and some of the Squad from the film including Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, John Cena, and Idris Elba. Dwayne Johnson will be making an appearance, most likely to flex some promotional muscle for BLACK ADAM and THE BATMAN himself, Robert Pattinson, will also be crashing the event, along with director Matt Reeves, to hopefully give us some much-needed tidbits about the latest adventure with the Caped Crusader. By the way, this is only the film side of things and I've only barely scratched the surface. Some of your favorite DC stars and creative team members from your favorite DC shows will be in attendance as well to truly make this a virtual fan experience for the books. To help guide you all through the event, there will be hosts from 13 countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Philippines, South Africa, Spain, USA, and the UK.

To help guide fans through the virtual experience, as previously reported, the event will be made up of the Hall of Heroes and five islands that will all be filled with incredible DC content. The Hall of Heroes will be the epicenter of the DC FanDome where you will experience special programming and star-studded panels, and be the first to see all-new content from upcoming films, television series, games, and more. Hall of Heroes is your entrée into a world tailored just for you, the fans — and it’s available in nine languages! The other islands include the WatchVerse, a highly immersive environment where you will find yourself transported to a busy street in the DC FanDome’s theater district. Explore the storefronts, alleys, and rooftops — but definitely make sure to visit the four iconic theatres: the Monarch, Athena, Kandor, and McDuffie’s Dakota, featuring the Blerd & Boujee House with cosplay and fan art from artists all around the world. Take a seat and join the virtual audience for hours of must-see DC content from around the world. Whether it’s the latest panels, exclusive world premiere screenings or never-before-seen footage, there’s something for everyone to enjoy with the casts, creators, and behind-the-scenes characters from the worlds of DC TV series, films, home entertainment, games and more! From there you can head to the YouVerse where you will venture into a place where the FANS are the stars. This is the Verse where fans are highlighted, honored and rewarded throughout the unique 24-hour DC FanDome experience. After you soak all of that in, head behind the scenes at the InsideVerse where you experience the legendary Warner Bros. Studios lot with the master artisans who bring DC to life in all its forms — from comic books to games, TV, movies, theme parks, consumer products and more. After that experience, head to the FunVerse, which is the perfect place to share your DC fandom!
