Emmet brings the holidays to Apocalypseburg in Lego Movie 2 short

Just because you live in a post-apocalyptic world doesn't mean that you can't spread a little holiday cheer around, and the eternally exuberant Emmet Brickowski (Chris Pratt) is just the man to make it happen. As the sequel to THE LEGO MOVIE approaches, Warner Bros. have released a new short, titled "Emmet's Holiday Party," to keep us thinking of all things LEGO this holiday season. That won't be too difficult. After interrupting Lucy's (Elizabeth Banks) brooding, Emmet quickly begins preparing the most tinsel-tastic holiday party Apocalypseburg has ever seen, which includes a huge skating rink and an absolutely giant Christmas tree. Unfortunately, all this commotion attracts some attention from outer space. As an added bonus, there's also Princess Unikitty (Alison Brie) vomiting glitter, just in case…you're into that.

The official synopsis of THE LEGO MOVIE 2: THE SECOND PART:

“The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part” reunites the heroes of Bricksburg in an all new action-packed adventure to save their beloved city. It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO® invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild. The battle to defeat them and restore harmony to the LEGO universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to faraway, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical. It will test their courage, creativity and Master Building skills, and reveal just how special they really are.

THE LEGO MOVIE 2: THE SECOND PART will hit theaters on February 8, 2019.
