What began with BEFORE SUNRISE and then BEFORE SUNSET, now continues in BEFORE MIDNIGHT, the third chapter in the lives of Jessie (Ethan Hawke) and Celine (Julie Delpy), an unlikely pair who are now struggling to keep it together in the middle portion of their lives as a married couple with kids. It's great to see the natural progression of these characters as you feel as if you've grown up with them and moved into your own station in life just as they have.

The strength of this series has always been Hawke and Delpy's performances, which feel fluid and spontaneous, rather than rehearsed. The dialogue and banter feels genuine, complete with the weird quirks that make us human. The character flaws and attributes make it great to sit through the good, bad, and ugly of their lives and today we have a clip that highlights all of those things at once.

Enjoy:

BEFORE MIDNIGHT hits theaters on May 24, 2013.
