WARNING! This article and video contain major SPLIT spoilers!

Anyone who has seen SPLIT, and even some people who haven't at this point, know well that its biggest surprise is the connection it has to director M. Night Shyamalan's UNBREAKABLE. Yes, 17 years after the release of the Bruce Willis superhero origin story, Night has gone ahead and made a pseudo-sequel, shocking his audience with the last-minute revelation that SPLIT's tortured villain Kevin Crumb exists in the same universe as UNBREAKABLE's hero David Dunn. And, based on the tenor of those final moments, it would indeed appear as though the two are headed for a future showdown. (Night is already working on a SPLIT followup, which is certain to feature Dunn in some capacity.)

But is there even more to the shared universe than you thought? Our longtime contributor Mike Catalano (he of Necessary Evil fame) sure thinks so! Mike went back to SPLIT a second time and sussed out several connections between Kevin and David that you may have missed if you've only seen the film once. So settle in and let Kevin's multiple personalities guide you through a tour of the SPLIT/UNBREAKABLE world.
