Exclusive: Unveiling the UK poster for electrokinesis horror film Reborn

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

A while back, I had the chance to watch director Julian Richards' film REBORN, which stars Barbara Crampton and tells the story of a teenager with electrokinetic abilities. I enjoyed the movie, giving it a 7/10 review, and I'm glad to hear that Jinga Films and Lightbulb Film Distribution have announced a May release for REBORN in the UK.

Ahead of that release, we have the EXCLUSIVE first look at the film's UK poster, which can be seen below.

Lightbulb Film Distribution will be giving REBORN a digital release on all major transactional VOD platforms including Sky Store, Virgin Media, Amazon, Apple TV, and Google Play on May 4th. A DVD release will follow on May 11th; copies can be pre-ordered HERE.

Written by Michael Mahin, REBORN begins when

a stillborn girl is brought back to life by an electrical storm and abducted from hospital by a morgue attendant. On her sixteenth birthday, empowered with the gift to manipulate electricity, she escapes her captor and sets out to find her birth mother leaving a trail of destruction behind her.

Crampton is joined in the cast by Michael Pare, Chaz Bono, Rae Dawn Chong, Monte Markham, Peter Bogdanovich, and Kayleigh Gilbert.

REBORN had been heading toward a theatrical release in the UK, but that has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Richards had this to say about the change of plans:

Of course we are disappointed to have our UK theatrical release compromised by Covid-19. But we do hope that the digital release will help keep people entertained during the lockdown."

Check out the poster below and get ready for REBORN to reach the UK in May.
