First Uncut Gems trailer shows off Adam Sandler’s incredible performance

Adam Sandler will be pushing himself as an actor like never before in the upcoming film UNCUT GEMS, and while you’ve surely heard that before or read about his work in various reviews (like ours here), it may be something that needs to be seen to be believed. Well, now the time is here to finally see some of what critics are raving about with the first full trailer for UNCUT GEMS, which shows of Sandler’s turn as a shady jeweler who digs a deep hole for himself after gambling with the wrong people’s money.

Much like the last movie from the Safdie Brothers, GOOD TIME, the movie looks like a fast-paced film that's hard to get a grasp of, but is all the more compelling because of it. Also like that film, it looks to be a fantastic showcase for its leading man (Robert Pattinson), with Sandler turning in what critics are calling his best work yet. Here we can sense he dove right into this shady, untrustworthy, slightly odd character, making the character seem both deplorable but strangely likable, and even endearing with some injection of humor here and there. I have no idea what the story is and I may not know what's going on even as I watch it, but still, it looks like a blast. 

Directed by Josh and Benny Safdie, the movie also stars Idina Menzel, Lakeith Stanfield, Judd Hirsch, Pom Klementieff, The Weeknd, Eric Bogosian and more. 

 UNCUT GEMS is in theaters December 13.
