Released in 2016, YOU'RE SO COOL, BREWSTER! was an epic, 3 and a half hour long documentary all about the making of writer/director Tom Holland's 1985 vampire classic FRIGHT NIGHT. Now Sony is putting together a Blu-ray release of FRIGHT NIGHT, and YOU'RE SO COOL, BREWSTER! is set to be included as one of the bonus features.

Special features on this new release of FRIGHT NIGHT will also include:

– Audio commentary with writer/director Tom Holland and actors Chris Sarandon and Jonathan Stark, moderated by filmmaker Tim Sullivan

– Audio commentary with writer/director Tom Holland, actors William Ragsdale and Stephen Geoffreys, and special effects artist Randall Cook, moderated by journalist Jeremy Smith and filmmaker Tim Sullivan

– Tom Holland: Writing Horror featurette

– Rowdy McDowall: From Apes to Bats featurette

– Fright Night Reunion Panel at Fear Fest 2

– Shock Till You Drop presents Choice Cuts with writer-director Tom Holland and journalist Ryan Turek

– Vintage EPK with behind-the-scenes footage

– 2 trailers

Starring William Ragsdale, Chris Sarandon, Roddy McDowall, Amanda Bearse, Stephen Geoffreys, and Jonathan Stark, FRIGHT NIGHT has the following synopsis:

Teenage Charley Brewster (Ragsdale) is a horror-film junkie, so it’s no surprise that, when a reclusive new neighbor named Jerry Dandridge (Sarandon) moves next-door, Brewster becomes convinced he is a vampire. It’s also no surprise when nobody believes him. However, after strange events begin to occur, Charlie has no choice but to turn to the only person who could possibly help: washed-up television vampire killer Peter Vincent (McDowall).

This sounds like it's going to be a great release. Some fans may be disappointed that YOU'RE SO COOL, BREWSTER! is ending up on this Blu-ray so soon after they paid for copies of the documentary on its own, but if Sony wants to make this the definitive FRIGHT NIGHT release it is a necessary inclusion.

The Blu-ray is scheduled to be released on February 12th.
