Ron Howard is one of the few directors in Hollywood who can sell a movie based on his name alone. Good thing too, since his latest FROST/NIXON has no A-listers (Sorry Kevin Bacon, you miss the cut by a country mile) and recounts a historical event unfamiliar to most. For those of you familiar with film’s plot, you already know that this isn’t a straight Nixon biopic a la Oliver Stone’s NIXON, but rather an examination of the series of notorious post-Watergate television interviews between British talk-show host David Frost and the disgraced president. The trailer is one of those classic light-hearted-turned-dramatic-midway doozies that seem to get me everytime. Consider me intrigued.
