Funny, freaky They’re Watching trailer is definitely worth watching!

“From the writers of Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Spongebob Squarepants”? How can you resist a horror movie that proudly boasts those odd credentials? But there’s plenty odd about the trailer for THEY’RE WATCHING, which I was expecting to be just another found footage flick but has now been placed firmly on my radar thanks to this very amusing preview. The tagline alone is worth a smile. (I’ll let you discover it for yourself.)

The plot:

When an American home improvement TV show visits a remote Eastern European village, the young crew thinks the lack of mocha lattés and free wifi will be the worst of their problems. But after their filming interrupts the superstitious villagers’ private religious ritual, the situation takes a turn for the homicidal… and when the blood starts flowing, that’s when things get really weird.

THEY’RE WATCHING was written and directed by Jay Lender and Micah Wright (both video game vets) and stars Brigid Brannagh, Kris Lemche, Carrie Genzel, David Alpay, Dimitri Diatchenko and Mia Faith. It hits VOD and theaters on March 25th.
