Flip the switch on the Bat-signal, because a new Bruce Wayne is coming to the second season of DC Universe's TITANS. It's been announced that GAME OF THRONES alum Iain Glen will slip into the finely pressed suits of Gotham's most illustrious playboy billionaire when the mature-rated superhero series returns to DC's streaming service next fall.
Of course, many are familiar with Glen due to his outstanding role as Jorah Mormont on HBO's GAME OF THRONES, one of Daenerys Targaryen's most trusted advisers. Okay, so perhaps he'd made it onto the Mother of Dragons' shitlist in recent times, but he's hoping to atone for his transgressions by aiding his one true love in her ascension to the Iron Throne. That's got to earn him at least a few Brownie points, right? Other than GAME OF THRONES, Glen has also contributed to DOWNTON ABBEY as well as the RESIDENT EVIL franchise. He also boasts an impressive stage career with performances for the productions of Uncle Vanya, The Crucible, Hedda Gabler, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Blue Room, Martin Guerre, and Hamlet.
Upon stepping onto TITANS, Glen is expected to play an older version of Batman's alter ego. Here's the official character description:

Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success.”
TITANS follows a group of young, albeit misguided heroes led by Batman's sidekick, Robin, aka Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites). Included on the team of misfit avengers is the vindictive and cunning alien princess Starfire (Anna Diop), the mysterious empath Raven (Teagan Croft), and the shape-shifting Beast Boy (Ryan Potter). Esai Morales recently signed on for Season 2 as the villain Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke the Terminator. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Deathstroke is considered by many to be a master assassin, whose skills are unmatched by any other in the game. When Deathstroke arrives for TITANS, he's expected to give the supergroup the fight of their lives.
It should be interesting to see how Robin and Bruce come together during the show's second season, especially when you consider that they were leagues away from being on speaking terms throughout the duration of TITAN's opening gambit. Perhaps it's time to bury the Bat-hatchet, eh?
TITANS will return to DC Universe for more action, profanity, and Bat-tastic action this fall.
