After five seasons of villain-fueled craziness and setting a young Bruce Wayne off on his path to becoming Batman, Fox's Gotham will soon be coming to an end, but judging by the action-packed trailer for the show's penultimate episode, it looks to be going out with a bang. Following the battle for Gotham, the series finale will be jumping a number of years into the future and finally give us the proper Caped Crusader as well as a horrifying version of the Joker, which we caught a glimpse of last week.
Here's the official synopsis for the upcoming episode:
As Bane (guest star Shane West) enacts his final plan for Gotham’s destruction, Gordon rallies his former enemies to save the city. Meanwhile, Nyssa al Ghul (guest star Jaime Murray) kidnaps Barbara’s newborn daughter, with ambitions to raise her as her own. Then, Bruce’s decision to leave Gotham points him to his destiny, while devastating Selina in the all-new “They Did What?” episode of GOTHAM.
Gotham will return on April 18th, with the series finale set for an April 25th release.
